The pattern has a weird way of casting off and I’m just having trouble understanding it.

When do I actually cast off? I’m just very confuse😖
This is a stretchier bind off.

The portion italicized is where a stitch is bound off. The idea is that the first stitch is passed over the second and off the right hand needle.
