Help on inc. 2 st with yo to be twisted

Hello,

I’m following the pattern for drops jacket 103-1. I’m having trouble with the instructions on the collar where the pattern says:
“increase 2 stitches each side as follows: to inc. knit 2 stitches in the outer most st, then make a yo which should be twisted on the returning row–incorporate new stitches into pattern as going along inc. 2 stitches at the beginning of row a total of 6 times each side = 24 extra stitches”.

How do I twist the yo on the returning row? Any advise and suggestions are gladly welcomed. Also, how can making 1 yo make 2 inc. stitches? All suggestions and advise are gladly welcomed.

Thanks in advance for your help!
Ami

You’re knitting 2 stitches into the first stitch–that’s one increase.

When you get to the yo on the following row, knit into the back of it–the small, tight loop, rather than into the front of it as you normally would for a yo that creates the eyelet.

Wow, Ingrid, you are AWESOME! :woot: Thank you so very much for your help. Maybe now I can finish this jacket…

ooops, spoke too soon… You’re still awesome, Ingrid!
but I forgot to ask, umm, how do I knit 2 stitches into the first stitch?
Thanks again for helping me…

Probably a knit front and back.

Thanks for the great tip, Sue! Now I can finally finish my very first sweater/jacket. :woohoo:

You guys have been a wonderful help–thank you so very much!!! :cheering:
