Hello new to this, I’m knitting baby mittens and am at the cast of part but don’t quite get it.
The pattern says:- cast off, dec. as before???
Any help will be appreciated.

Sounds like the pattern wants you to decrease as you bind off. You might for example knit one, k2tog, then pass the first stitch on therighthand needle over the second and off the needle.

I did experiment with the way you suggested and it worked out right, well it looks like a mitten lol.
