Hi! So this is my first time knitting something and I’m very frustrated right now since my knit stitch looks like a purl stitch and I dont know how to fix it… Can someone please explain how do I fix this kind of problem?
Here’s an example of a back to back swatch of my supposed to be a knit stitch:
What you have created is garter stitch. When you do a knit stitch it automatically creates a purl stitch on the backside of the work. And if you purl, it will create a knit stitch on the other side of the work. You got this result because you used knit stitch on both sides of the work.
So do something like this:
Row 1: Knit all across
Row 2: Purl all across
Repeat Row 1-2 for as many times you want.
