Help me fix a stitch please!

Hi - I split the yarn as I was knitting this stitch and when I thought I undid it, I think I made it worse. Can you tell from the photo what I should do to correct it? At this point, the right 2 threads on the left needle should be one stitch. I tried playing around with it to correct it but now, I’m lost. Let me know if you can tell clearly enough from the pictures.

THANKS very much! :muah:

Well, I’m not sure, but it looks like maybe that long yarn should go through the loop on the needle. :??

The best thing to do might be to tink (unknit stitch by stitch) back to that point and start going again.

Try putting that loop on the right tip with they yarn strand to the left of it, closer to the point. Then bring the loop up over the yarn. Then slip it back onto the left needle. I think that may fix it. If not, you may have to go back.

In the top picture, the yarn loop that starts in the front on the right, and goes over to the back on the left is supposed to be the next stitch on the L needle. To fix it, scoot the L stitches close to the tip and slip the 2nd st over that loop and drop it off, leaving the new stitch on the needle. Then you would just continue knitting.
