I was going fine with my sock till I realized that I made an yarn over about 7 rows ago. I didn’t want to unravel my work, so I wanted to see if I can just treat it like a dropped stitch, and bring it back up the rows with a crochet hook. So I knitted to that point and unravelled downwards, then I realized that unlike a ladder from a dropped stitch, when the yarn over disappears - well, there is no stitch to bring back up! So now I have a ladder - anyway to fix this without unravelling it to that point?
I don’t think there is a way to fix the ladder that is already happened…I would knit that section a little tighter for a few rounds to see if that stops it…it also looks like that it sets where two dpns meet? If it does then I would move a stitch over and that sometimes helps…
After you finish the sock you might be able to go in and tweak that a bit…do a duplicate st and that might help it…
You can take up the extra yarn from the ladder by pulling on the sts to either side of it, and washing or blocking may help even out. If it happened at the end of the dpns, you probably got a needle tip caught in the yarn between sts and knit it, so you should watch that in the future.
I don’t know if this would work … can you un do down to the yarn over again … then … knit two together … taking away the extra yarn from the YO … then… a couple of rows up … make one … and that should get your stitch count back to the right number.
Like I said, I have no idea if this would work but I have fixed a few … spaces … with a k2tog … then put the stitch back in a few rows later.
