Help, King Cole pattern not working

Hi all

I’ve got the King Cole double knit pattern where you can make a bear or bunny granny square blanket. Instructions are nice and simple but the bunny ears, i just can’t get them to work. The instructions only turn on one side, i don’t see how that can work. I’ve tried it four times and it’s just a mess.

Can anyone help?
1st row - 1ch, 1dc in flo of same st, 1dc in flo of each next 2 sts, 1t-ch, turn. 3st
2nd row - 1dc in each d , 1t-ch, turn
3rd row - 2 dc in first dc, 1d in each of next 2 d , 1t-ch, turn, 4 sts
4-5th row - 1 dc in each dc, 1t-ch, turn
6th row - 1 dc in each dc, turn
7th row - miss first st, 2 tr in each of next 2sts, ss in last st.

Thanks in advance

Yes, that’s the one :

The instructions have you turn at the end of each row, so it really does turn on both edges. Perhaps the issue is that these are UK terms, and not US terms? Here it is in US terms, and with a couple of other modifications.
1st row - 1ch, 1sc in flo of same st, 1sc in flo of each next 2 sts, ch 1, turn. <3sts made>
2nd row - 1sc in each sc , ch 1, turn
3rd row - 2 sc in first sc, 1sc in each of next 2 sc , ch 1, turn, <4 sts>
4-5th row - 1 sc in each sc, ch 1, turn
6th row - 1 sc in each sc, turn
7th row - skip first st, 2 dc in each of next 2sts, ss in last st.

I hadn’t even thought that the 3sts was how many I’d made. I thought they were additional stitches. Thank you so much. I’m clearly far too used to US patterns

I’ll have another go tonight. Cheers
