Help! I've lost my blanket pattern

this is knit on size 5 needles with 45 stitches to start. the idea is that you knit up panels vertically and then sew them up later.
all I have is a little note I made to take in my bag
I tried to pick it up again but every time I get to the end of the row I’m left with 5 stitches instead of 2
Row 2 K1 (P1, K2, M1, k1, p2, p3tog, p1, k1, m1,k2) x3 p1, k1
Row 3 (k1, p1, k1, p11) x3 k1,p1,k1
Row 4 K1 (p1,k2,m1, k2, p1, p3tog, p1, k2, m1, k2) x3 p1,k2
Row 5 as row 3 and every odd row
Row 6 K1 (P1, K2, m1, k3, p3tog, k3, m1, k2) x3 P1, K1

i think it was from a pamphlet by Bernat maybe any help appreciated
I tried to link a picture

Welcome to KH!
Very pretty blanket. It may be that the problem is in row 2.
Row 2 K1 (P1, K2, M1, k1, p2, p3tog, p2 k1, m1,k2) x3 p1, k1
It should be p2 after the double decrease. Working it as p1 would give you 3 extra sts and throw off the pattern.

Thank you ! that works a lot better. can I ask another question? I only wrote down row 2, row 4 and row 6 and then made a note: Tenth row do row 1. Since the 10 row is even would the 9th and 10th row get bunched up into the scallop that the p3tog s make or am I missing too much of the pattern?

Well, we know row 9 is going to be like row 3. I’d have to try this out on a swatch to be sure about 8 and 10. Since I’m away at the moment, that wouldn’t be for quite a while.
You could give this a try using the blanket you have so far as a guide. See what looks good as far as matching the pattern.

thank you

From the picture, it looks like you would do rows 1-6, then work backwards through the rows from 5 to 1. But that would put row 2 as row 10 and give you an odd number of rows (11).
