So I am attempting to make a hat on circular needles and I dont know what I did, but I just made my 2nd round and they are not joined at the beginning. I watched the video and cant tell what I did wrong, Is there a way to fix it so I dont have to start all over again??

You might be able to join in the round still even though you have already made a few rows. You will have to turn your work around so that the stitch that has the working yarn on it is the closest to the needle tip of the needle held in your right hand. Then when you go to knit the first stitch on the left needle with the working yarn coming from the right needle, that is how the join happens.
If you dont like how it looks with those first few rows already worked before the join, you can just rip it back and start over.
To join in the round the working yarn will be on the right hand needle. That way when you put your right needle into the stitch on the left needle to knit it will join when you wrap the yarn.
