I just bought Angora yarn to try and make a scarf similar to what you can see in the picture. I can’t find a good stitch similar to it or if I should be looking at crochet stitches instead.
here is the scarf:

Hello and welcome to KH!!!
It’s difficult to see anything in your picture. Can u post another picture with your camera or phone closer to the scarf??
Thanks

From what I can see, that scarf itself isn’t knitted, but to make something similar looking, I’d use fine yarn/needles, doing stocking stitch with regularly spaced sections of increases/decreases over a few rows to create “puckering” or “waves”. At least, that’s what it looks like, though it could just be rows of bobbles and the shadows they cast make it look different? You will probably need to experiment to get the effect you want.
Could it be little eyelet type holes in the stripe? I’m working k2tog, yo right across a row in my current project which makes little eyelets with rows of stocking stitch between.
Welcome
Look up something called broomstick lace. You can crochet a fine yarn and then every other row( or six you get the idea ) you use a large knitting needle to loop around. . . It’s probably not what is going on in the white scarf but might work
