HELP! I need help right away!

Does anyone know what is means when it says "Knit into front and back of the next stitch? i’m a beginner. I’m making a scarf form my friends b-day so if anyone knows what it means please reply as soon as possible!

Hi Layla,

I actually can help here!!! It’s an increase. What you need to do is knit both into the front of the stitch and the back of the stitch before you slip it off the needle, thus making two stitches out of one.

Amy has a video I am sure. I will find it and post in a sec…

Yep, here’s the link  http://knittinghelp.com/knitting/videos/increase/increase-bar-english.mpg

ETA: If you’re a conti knitter, please let us know, there’s a video for that style as well.
