HELP! I am doing this pattern for the third time

I have redone this two times, and each time I get stuck on #3 I am about to bang my head against a wall. I don’t know if I’m reading this wrong or what.

3: K2 (K2tog, yo, K3, yo, sl1, K1, psso)x3 K2 (I see this as K2 K2tog, yo, K3, yo, [sl1, K1, psso which means basically the psso] K2 But I’ve been doing that and I don’t end up with the last two required stitches that I need to knit.
4: K
5: K2 (yo, sl1, K1, psso, K5) x3 K2
6: K2 (K1, yo, K2tbl, K2, K2tog, yo)x3 K2
7: K2 (K2, yo, sl1, K1, psso, K2tog, yo, K1)x3 K2
8: K

So any help would be appreicated. I’m getting to the point of pulling out my hair.

You need 21 sts for the repeat, and 25 for the whole thing. I see on the pattern it’s written to repeat the whole line twice over 48 sts and that won’t work, it needs 50 sts. It will work if you do k2 (pattern repeat 3 times) k2, (pattern repeat 3 times), k2 though. There should be be *s in it so it would look like - K2 *(K2tog, yo, K3, yo, sl1, K1, psso)x3 K2, repeat from *, end with k2.

The rest of her rows seem to be written incorrectly too, just do a single k2 between the repeat pattern 3 times and you’ll come out right.

So this would like K2 (K2tog, yo, K2, yo, psso)X3 K2?

WAIT I think I get what you mean.

So instead of K2 and the start and end of each row pattern, simply do the pattern THAN k2, do knitting on 2 and 3, than start pattern, finish pattern and k2, and so forth?

Screw it, this pattern is too messed up to even do it. And I’m getting fustrated and if a pattern gets me frustrated after three times it ain’t worth my fingers being worn out. Once it ain’t fun no more it ain’t worth it.

When something is in in () or [] followed by ‘3 times’ you do everything in the brackets/parentheses 3 times, not just the sts immediately before the x times. In the pattern below the six rows of the lace st, she says to knit them twice (for the front and back of the mitts). But the first k2 isn’t done a second time, just k2 one time in the middle to separate the two lace sections. Some patterns aren’t well written and if it frustrates you to figure it out, then yeah, go ahead to another one.
