Help/gorgeus Adrienne Vittadini Yoga Wrap in the Vogue2005/6

Okay this sweater has been so easy up til now. For anyone who is already working on this please help.

I have worked up to the right sleeve opening and am now trying to work the "Next Row (WS) All Sizes. I am at the point where it instructs you to cast on 33(35,37,39)sts,work to end. Cont in pat for 66(70,82,86)rows more, ending with chart row 10(6,6,2.

I am stuck with what to do after casting on the 37 sts in my case. I cast them on and it looks like it is telling me to continue in the pattern but I am really unsure as to what work to end means. I am finding it nearly impossible to work the pattern with these freshly cast on stitches because they seem so flimsy and difficult to manuever. It seems like it would make more since to knit those first and then continue in the pattern.

I probably have not provided enough info to get help on this, but if anyone is working on this sweater, I would really appreciate your help.

Sorry I can’t help, howver just wanted to let you know i’m in the same situation - stuck on a pattern I can’t understand - it’s so frustrating so I know how you’re feeling! Wish I could read knitting language like I can English!

When you cast on stitches at the beginning (or end) of the row, you then begin knitting or purling or whatever the stitch pattern is. Work across the row - that’s what knit to end (of the row) means. Yep, the CO stiches are a tad loose on that first row, but then they begin to behave after a couple more rows.

SuzeeQ, does that mean you are currently working on the same sweater. I hope you are. I finally figured out how to get those stitches to behave. Instead of casting on the way I usually do I knit them to cast them on. I went to my amazing yarn supplier in Anaheim and she showed me that, but now I am stuck on another part of the pattern. I worked to end on the ws row, but when I went to continue in the patern it seems like I don’t have enough stitches on the needle. I must have made a mistake somewhere, does anyone know if there is a way to take bound off stitches apart and maybe start over.
