I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. I’ve been trying to learn how to knit for a few months and I’m just about to completely give up.
I understand casting on, and I’m fairly good at it, but every time I try, my stitches come out crooked and inconsistent. The don’t really go down a straight line, they just sort of spiral down my needle. Every once in a while, they come out good enough for me to carry on. (They still look nothing like the ones in the videos… No where near as neat.) But then I absolutely can not get the next stitches through.
I’ve watched all the videos, but I can’t figure out how to get the yarn to pull back through. I can do it most of the time on my first stitch, but not for any of the others. Can anyone give me any tips about how to correct my cast on’s and how to… basically get started? I would really appreciate as I am getting very, very frustrated about this. I understand the idea, but I just can’t seem to get my yarn and needles to do!
