Hi - I want to knit a throw that is 50" wide and 60" long. I can’t figure out how many stitches to knit. The package says this: * Knitting Gauge: 8 sts and 13 rows with a 8 mm (U.S. 11) knitting needle". I have ciruclar needles, size 11. Can someone tell me how many stitches I need to knit?

Have you made a swatch with those needles and yarn? If you get stitch gauge then you can adjust length as you work. Use the swatch to calculate how many stitches to cast on for the width you want.
