Help for v neck

I am nearly there now and I am wondering what is the best way to make the neck line on my jumper. It has a v neck (moss stitch all around) that needs to be worked on both side as the jumper progresses (no picking up stitches).
What would be the best way to make the v neck? I am worried that my decreases may look like a “staircase” if I do them in the usual way.
I looked this up on YouTube and found this possible answer: not knitting the last stitch of the previous row and, in the next row not knitting the first 2 stitches but passing the first stitch over the 2nd one (which was left unworked too). Would this give me a nice neckline or is there a better way to proceed? I have worked on round necks previously and v necks are new to me. Any advice much appreciated!
I am also enclosing a couple of picture taken from the seller’s website. Thank you for your help😊

That’s a good way to work this and avoid the stair step decrease. Try it out on a small swatch to see if you like this sloped bind off just to be sure.
It’s a really pretty top with a very clean, simple V-line to to neck.

I would try a swatch as salmonmac suggested. And I would put in a life line before starting the neck just in case I didn’t like whatever happened there.

I have just finished one side of the neckline and I was wondering if there is a good online tutorial on YouTube showing how to join the new yarn to finish the neckline. Would you know of any good video? Thank you

The first method demonstrated here is what I use for joining a second ball of yarn. Just secure the yarn tail with your left hand and knit. You can always snug up the stitches later before weaving in the ends.

Always a bit nervous at this stage… what would be the best way to sew the jumper ? Thank you

That’s gorgeous!
If you can use mattress stitch that’s a good way to seam.

Sometimes a back stitch as in sewing works well too and it can be easier to align patterns.

Ooh lovely. And your V neck is so much neater than the pattern picture too. Beautiful top.
I use scrap yarn or embroidery thread to line up the important bits and tack in place (I just go through both fabrics in a single stitch twice) before I mattress stitch. I find it helps me get everything in the right place.
