Help for understanding English abbrevation

I am knitting an Afghan and I am using a amodel in English.English is not my first language, tehrefore I need your help to understand the meaning of some abbrevation. Specifically:

it says: K10, p2, cf, k3,p2,k9. I do not understand the cf abbrevation.

Another one: K10,p2 k3 cb,p2,k9

I do not undestand the cb abbrevation.

Can somebody help me out? I am stuck…

My guess is cf is cable front and cb is cable back – which is not much help if it is just as you have written it.
