Okay so I’m wondering is it possible to use crochet lace to knit with? I’ve had yarn that’s 100% mercerized cotton and would really want to make a shawl or something out of but I have never made a shawl. Are there any designs, patterns, recipes(or whatever you will) that anybody can suggest as a first shawl project? Any suggestions are appreciated, thank you to anybody and everybody who help.

You can. It is equivalent to lace weight yarn.

But again, you can substitute the crochet thread for any lace weight pattern if the thread gives you the look/feel you want.
Yes, that IS what I meant. Thanks I’ll try that out, hopefully there is something I like & if there any other sites or specific recipes I’d be greatful for the posts.
