Help! Dropped stitch?

I “think” I dropped a stitch in the very first row after cast on. I could have sworn I did, but went back and counted a total of 152 stitches. This was correct.

I then continued for 10 more rows of straight knit. Didn’t know there were only 151 stitches.

On the 12th row I start the pattern of alternating knit and pearl in multiples of 8.

Last set of knits ended in 7! I knew that I lost a stitch. So I simply added a knit to the line.

I’ve gone back over and over the beginning looking for this lost stitch, concerned it will unravel. I can’t find the mistake!

Since it was only the first row after cast on, is it ok or will the whole thing unravel in the wash on completion? (Had that happen on a poncho I made year ago)

Advise and help appreciated. Thank you!

A dropped stitch won’t cause the whole knit piece to unravel. The worst that could happen is that it works itself out of the cast on sts leaving a small gap or short ladder. Even that can be teased into the adjoining sts.
If you can’t find the dropped stitch when you count the cast on, I wouldn’t worry about it. It’s likely you may have miscounted the cast on to begin with and there really isn’t a dropped stitch.
Enjoy the rest of your knitting.
