Help dividing stitches

Hi. I am working on the charmed knits Quidditch sock pattern and I am confused on how to divide my stitches between 4 dpns. The pattern is as follows: CO 30;

Divide sts on 4 dpns, keeping half of the total number of sts on the first 2 needles, and the other half on 3 and 4

Rnd 1: Inc: *K2, K1b into prev st, K11, k1b into next st, K2; rep from * to end 34 sts.

I had them divided as 8,8,7,7, but I cant fit the K2 repeat in the second time. Any ideas to correct my math? Pretty please? :aww:

Hi! It sounds to me like that you need to have 15 sts across needles
1 and 2 and 15 across 3 and 4 so that you are keeping the half
and half ratio the pattern suggests. I would put 8 on needle 1, 7
on needle 2, 8 on needle 3 and 7 on needle 4. At first glance that
should make everything come out even but can’t be certain without
actually sitting and knitting it!
