I started Claire Garland’s lamb pattern and I’ve gotten stuck! The pattern is free at Ravelry: Lamb pattern by Claire Garland
I’m at page 3, after I’ve just knitted the nose and then, in 3 separate sections, left side of the head, forehead section, and the right side of the head. They are in stockinette, and ended on a purl row. I put a pink marker on the right side of head to avoid confusion.
Now I’m to…
Knit the left section, and then join it to the section that’s on the right of it? Am I misunderstanding it? Knitting goes from right to left, how can I then join the section to the right?
Thank you so much in advance
Welcome to the forum!
You’re going to join all three sections, the lamb’s left side (on the right in your photo), middle (forehead) and lamb’s right side (on the left in photo). Knit across these sts (red arrow, 1,2,3) one section after the other.
You could knit the lamb’s left directly from the holder but the forehead (pink holder #2) and lamb’s right side (blue holder) will have to be slipped off the holders onto a needle as the holders’ openings are facing in the wrong direction to knit off of each one.
Thank you so much! Those arrows are what I needed
