Help binding off

Hello. I am working on a sweater and the pattern says:

Shoulders - Bind off 5 sts at beg. of each of next 2 rows; 5 (6-7) sts at beg. of each of next 4 rows; 30 sts

how would i do this?? I usually knit 2 stitches and pass the previous stitch over and keep doing that for the number of stitches called for. Am I doing this right?? Can someone please help I’m so confused:eyes: :??

Yes do it the same way as when you BO the last row, except you only go partway across. Only count the sts that you pass over, not how many you knit since you have begin with k2 to BO 1 st.
