It seems to me that for such pretty knitting, it’s worth getting it right. I would recommend ripping it back (I know this isn’t the happy choice). It’ll be worth it in the end.
An alternative is to duplicate stitch over the rows that need to be corrected. I don’t think it’s a good choice because of the added thickness over a couple of rows, however.
Just my opinion- I think it’s worth the frogging. You’ve made such a lovely job of the rest of it, it is well worth the couple of inches of single colour stockinette.
Once you’ve done it won’t feel as bad. Well, for me it always feels worse just before the ripping back and much better afterwards.
