Help a new knitter please! YO done, but need to pick up back of loop on return

I have already done the yarn over, but my pattern says:

Work YO into back of loop on return row to avoid a hole.

I am doing this on a pearl row.

Any suggestions?

This appears to be the same as a ptbl (purl through back loop).
