Hello Knitters

Hello everyone.

I learnt very basic knitting when i was a little girl. Sadly, it didn’t last long. Now i am hoping to learn the skills back.

I am hoping to learn some baby sweater, bibs, shoes, etc.

I think this is really sweet.

But i don’t understand the instructions. No idea how to make the sleves, the neck, etc.

Hope to learn more from all the expert knitters here.

Welcome to the Forum. Knitting is like anything else, start at the beginning and learn one step at a time. Once you get the basic skills, then you can take it from there.

WELCOME, Knitting! :waving:

:waving: Hey Knitting!! And welcome to the forum :D. I’m sure that you will pick your skills up with a bit of practice :cheering:

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.

What patterns did you start off with basic knitting skills?

Any simple ones to recommend?

In this section there is a demo of a simple project from cast on to bind off.

Welcome Knitting!! I’m gonna take a sweater class soon for my son I thought it started this week doesn’t start till the 11th but when I get it done I have this sweater lined up for my girl think its adorable!!

I just learned through Amy in May/June… my first things were these:

If you want a really simple project that looks absolutely luxurious…this is great! I made one (sorry everybody…still haven’t gotten around to posting the pic on blog…but very soon, I promise!) for a co-worker and she LOVES it!

Wow. I doubt i can manage with those. But i would love to try them when i get better with knitting skills.

I am thinking of beginning with a baby bib.

That is what I started with. quick and easy no shame in that :roflhard:

Heres my first real attempt. :stuck_out_tongue:

Wow. It’s beautiful! This is the bib i intend to start off with.

What material did you use? I do not want mine to roll when it’s completed.

Thanks!

The yarn you use doesnt matter…the stitches do. Stockinette st will always curl unless bordered by some garter st.
