by the way the count is incorrect beginning in row 3!
I began knitting this cowl with beads and I’m so wanting to do this but for reasons that I can’t figure out the stitches don’t add up. Could you please tell me if I’m going crazy or is there something wrong with this pattern??![!
The pattern increases one stitch each RS row up to row 17. There’s an extra yo that isn’t balanced by a dec in each of these rows. Are you working the yo by bringing the yarn to the front between the needles, then over the right needle to the back?
Because of copyright, could you replace the scan with just a scan of the first few rows please? What is the name of the pattern?
Thank you for your help. I see the increase by one stitch each row. But it does not work right off from Row 1. I don’t get the correct amount of stitches before slipping the marker. I come up short 1 stitch.
I deleted/reposted the scan. The name of the pattern is “nacre” by Emily Nora O’Neil.
I finally figured out what I was doing wrong!!! I was NOT doing the yarn over before the first stitch but after it and joining somehow with the first stitch! I’m all set to go!
