I am making this little dress (I have made it before but I can’t remember). I am on row 6 and it says that the increase is 8 stitches. I started with 60 and followed row 6, I now have 72 stitches- shouldn’t I have 68 then?
Row 6:(RS) K1, P1, K1, P1, (Knit to 1 stitch before the next marker, Kfb, SmB, Kfb) work 4x, knit-to the last 4 stitches, K1, P1, K1, P1
(8 stitches increased)
The repeated section is adding two stitches, one at each kfb. As the section is repeated 4 times it will give 8 stitches. Thus if you had 60 stitches from the beginning, you should end up with 68 stitches. 2x4=8 stitches.
Thanks- I think I also added between marker A which gave me too many- thanks for clarifying!
