Heart Lace Top

Heart Lace Pattern - https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/heart-lace-top
I need a little help with this pattern. It seems that round 9 has an error at the end.
heart lace pattern (1 heart = 12 sts):
Round 1: *YO, k2tog, k3, yo, k1, yo, k3, SKP, yo, k1; rep from * (RS row)
Round 2: Knit all stitches (WS row)
Round 3: *k1, YO, slip2-k2tog-pass slipped stitches over, yo, k3, yo, Slip 4 sts knitwise-insert left
needle into the front of these 4 sts and k them together, yo, k2; rep from *
Round 4: K all sts
Round 5: *k1, K2tog, YO, k5, YO, SKP, K2; rep from *
Round 6: K all sts
Round 7: *K2tog, YO, k7, YO, SKP, K1; rep from *
Round 8: K all sts
Round 9: *YO, k9, YO, slip 1 st-k2tog-psso; rep from *, in the last repeat of the pattern, *YO, k9, YO,
SKP, K1 (instead of sl1-k2tog, psso)
Round 10: K all sts

I found this comment from another person about this pattern. She wrote this below.
I think the pattern, as written, leaves you with 1 stitch too many after row 9:
Ok as far as I can see it, there’s an error at the end of row 9, where it saya that on the last repeat of the patter, you should SKP, instead of S1 K2tog, PSSO. If you do that, you’ll be left with 1 stitch too many. She says that she has solved the problem this way below.

I worked the first 8 rows as written in the pattern. After that, I worked thusly:
Row 9: k1, yo, k9, {S1, K2tog, PSSO} until the last repeat, when the {S1, K2tog, PSSO} should be replaced with SKP.
Row 10: K
Row 1: K1, YO, K2tog, K3, YO, K1, K3, SKP, YO, K1 until last repeat, instead of the final stitch being a K1, it should be: Knit together last stitch of round with 1st of next round, replacing marker after the K2tog.
Every subsequent row 9 and 1, I followed these mods.
My question is if I follow her modifications, what does she mean by every subsequent row 9 and 1?
I have tried to figure this pattern out as it was originally written and by this persons modifications.
Can someone help me figure this out?

Thanks,
Barb

I haven’t tried this pattern or the modifications.

Every time you work the pattern repeat, work the modified rows as given by cioccito for row 1 and row 9. So substitute these rows in the pattern.

Thank you I will subsitute, the modification rows as given by ciccito for row 1 and row 9 in the pattern.
The only parts that I am having problems comprehending is the following instructions:
Knit together last stitch of round with 1st of next round, replacing marker after the K2tog.
Also what does she mean by every subsequent row 9 and 1?
Every subsequent row 9 and 1
If you could walk me through the steps it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Barb

OK, work the first 8 rows. Then work rows 9 and 10:
Row 9: k1, yo, k9, {S1, K2tog, PSSO} until the last repeat, when the {S1, K2tog, PSSO} should be replaced with SKP.
Row 10: K

For the next row, row 1, cioccito is suggesting:
row 1: K1, (YO, K2tog, K3, YO, K1, YO, K3, SKP, YO, K1) until last repeat. On last repeat, instead of the final stitch being a K1, it should be: Knit together last stitch of round with 1st stitch of next round, replacing marker after the K2tog.

I haven’t knit this and according to her notes, there may have been a pattern revision. Anyway, what you would do is work the repeat on row 9 up to the final repeat. Start that repeat and when you get to the last stitch, knit that last stitch together with the first stitch of the next round. So you’re knitting together the stitch before the marker with the one after the marker. Of course to do this you’ll have to first remove the marker and then replace the marker after the k2tog.

If you’ve already tried the pattern directions and they didn’t work, give this correction a try and see if it works. If you haven’t tried the directions as written, I suggest trying them first. to make sure you’re not already working from a designer-revised pattern.

On every subsequent row 9 and 1 means every following row 9 and row 1.
