Need help to understand this pattern.

HAIR BAND:
Ch 6
Work first row as follows:

Work 1 sc in 4th ch from hook, work 1 sc in each of the next ch 2, turn piece = 3 sc + 3 ch on row.

ROW 2: ch 3, 1 sc in each of the 3 sc from previous row, turn piece.

I do not understand this part: * turn piece = 3 sc + 3 ch on row *
What I have to do there?

And this row 2 I am not sure that i understand it.

3 sc + 3 ch on row. That’s telling you what you’ve just done. You should have 3 sc and your ch3 for that row. Now just turn your work, ch3 and work a sc in each sc of the previous row.

The wording is odd. These patterns are translated into English so sometimes they’re hard to understand.
