I am knitting Lion Brand pattern 70216a. All measurements for the child size 6-8 match the schematic on the pattern. The problem is with the hood. The face opening seems much too small for the sweater. The entire hood seems too small. Can anyone help?
After you pick up sts from the neck, you inc and then knit for 12". When you fold the BO over and join the top of the hood that makes the opening 24" around, so that should be fine. If you think it should be larger you can knit for 13" but that will make the opening 26" around.
