Have you used cascade Pima cotton?

I’ve narrowed my yarn down to two brands-elann brand cotton & cascade Pima Melange. I’m leaning towards the Cascade Pima.

Any thoughts, the endless (elann brand) is cheaper–but, I’m not sure about the quality of yarn. Did I mention that the cascade is on sale for $2.95 sk.!! :happydance:

cotton will probally not be as easy to work with, and probally a bit heavy–but, I figure I could buy some nice alpaca–but, since I live in the south I would never get to wear it.

thanks,

I’ve never used the cascade, so I can’t comment on that one. I am however making a sweater right now with elann’s Endless summer collection Connemara and I like it. The yarn itself is nice and smooth - which took a bit of getting used to after using lots of fluffly wool and novelty yarns. I found I liked using bamboo needles better b/c my stitches were falling off my aluminum ones. The only issue I have with it is that it is easier to split the yarn that with some others - not a big problem, but I do have to pay attention a bit.

Since you didn’t specify which Elann’s yarn you were looking at I don’t know if this will be helpful, but I thought I would give my $0.02 in case it is.
