Hat pattern using larger DPNS?

I bought sz 11 DPNS from littleknits~ I tried making just plain ol garter stitch with them… just to get a feel…
but what I really want to do is make a hat and finish it in the round on DPNS… i have a hat pattern that I have made(alot of :teehee: ) where you just mattress stitch the CO/BO edges but it makes a nasty little seam… I want to try one without a large noticeable seam…
Henceforth the DPNS…
Can anyone lend me a hand???

If you use DPNs you will have NO seam. What do you need help with? Do you want a roll brim or ribbing? Man, woman or child?

 for replying Jan
I want to try ribbing… my current pattern is garter stitch with a roll top brim~ I want to try ribbing my k2p2 and it would be for a woman or female infant~ possibly both~

What I mean is I want K2p2 ribbing and a different style that would work for woman or child~~ NO roll brim (that’s what I have been doing over, and over, and over

This is a great site for figuring out how to make a simple hat using the yarn and needles you have.

The site Ingrid linked to is a good one. I had a little trouble with the math :wall: but I managed to figure it out.

Ribbing on DPNs is the same as doing it flat. k2p2 on a multiple of 4 or whatever. Always try to make a knit stitch the first one on each DPN and will help with the ladder problems, too.
