Thanks for the pattern I do like it and am thinking about knitting it up. It will work well for my yoga minded daugher in law.
You know, I’ve gotten much more selective about knitting for gifts. For several years I wanted to make everyone something. First off, not everyone appreciates something hand made, so that wasn’t always the best choice. Secondly, I eventually got so tired of knitting for everyone else and never having time to make something for myself. There’s SO MANY patterns out there I love for ME! So last year I was very picky about who I made anything for. I do other crafts and I did make some gifts with those though. This year I’m still in that mode. I may make a few things for some people (my mom included) but we’ve cut way back on gifts for the family anyway. Last year we adopted several families instead of giving within the families.
I started the Lizard Ridge blanket for my DS (which I haven’t gotten very far on with a baby shower and a few other things in the way). My DD and her roommate love for me to make them scarves, but this year I think I will also throw in some fingerless mitts or the bella mittens for them - and if I ever get through this (my first) pair of socks I may add them as well. DH wants a hat (been promising him one for 2 years lol) and mom loves anything I make her - maybe a nice shawl this year. I’m sure there will be a few other things, but I try to keep it relatively simple
