Harry Potter knitting

So, I was just talking on the phone to my friend about the HP movie premiere in July. And I was telling him that I’m making a Slytherin scarf for it. And, then I decided that he needed a Hufflepuff scarf as well. The bad thing is that I have to wait till I get home from college to work on them because I’m sooo busy now.

Is anyone else going to be making HP stuff for the movie or the book release?

I was thinking of making myself a Hufflepuff scarf (that’s the house I would most likely be in). Or maybe I will attempt to create a knitting pattern for a witch’s or wizard’s hat…

Seeing as how it’ll be July when HP7 is released, I don’t know if I can do a scarf. But for the release of the last book, I may need to hunt down some bronze and blue yarn! Go Ravenclaw!

The pattern for House Hats from Charmed Knits is available now. I think Charmed Knits is supposed to be out next month.

I’m making something special for my friends, but I can’t talk about it on here.

I would love to make something, but with it being July, I can’t think of anything that might work  It gets around 105-110+ here.

Even though it will be warm, I’m planning to make the Ravenclaw Illusion Scarf: http://www.the-leaky-cauldron.org/#static:crafts/knitting/ravenclawillusionscarf

It’s so cool! Just wait a sec for it to pop up on the screen.

I love Harry Potter! I’ve knit all four house scarves. I would love to wear one to the premiere in July, but I live in south Florida and it will probably be near 100 degrees that day, so I knit a hat instead. :teehee:

Hehehe. Yeah, I was sort of worried about the heat. But, we’ll be going to both the book release and the movie at midnight, so, it should be chilly.

I’ve also knit all the scarves, but I certainly won’t be wearing one this summer. It’s warm enough in the dead of winter, I think I’d pass out if I wore it in July. Then again, all the parties I’m attending are midnight premiere/release parties, but still. I have the rest of the Slytherin uniform, but I guess I’m just going to have to be knitless - maybe if the film came out in November as I believe it should it’d be a different story.

My mom showed me these horcrux socks the other day. So, if a scarf is too warm for you, here ya go! You’ll need Adobe to open it.
I personally don’t believe that Harry’s scar is a horcrux, but the pattern looks kind of fun.

OHh I’m going to try the socks! I love Harry Potter and can’t wait for the movie and book!!!
