Hi All,
I need to get 60" length circulars. And I don’t really want metal. 60" is pretty hard to find.
However, I did find them on knit picks. So, my question to you is how do the Harmony “wood” needles compare to the Clover bamboo?
If it’s pretty much the same, then I’ll get them. But addi turbo’s come in 60" but they are metal and really slippery!
Thanks,
Great choice-you’ll LOVE LOVE LOVE your Harmonies (well, I do anyway, :teehee:)~ they are far better than the clovers I have. Smooth, but not slippery-very nice.
I love my Harmonies. I bought one Clover circular–I had started with a set of Clover straights and got a set of Clover DPNs as well. But the circular was so tight and hard to use, even after some attempts at home straightening, that I took it back within a week.
Oh, I’ve been pleased with the Clover bamboo circs – that nylon cable relaxes if you warm it up a little in hot water (don’t get the bamboo wet), and then pull it out straight a few times. I don’t store them curled up in their little package – I curve them loosely, only enough to fit in my drawer. That seems to help too.
I bought a clover circ to do some lace knitting on and it’s still curly after the hot water dip. I may have to put the sts on another needle and try it again.
