I’ve had a tendon thumb injury for the past several weeks-- and I finally decided that I’d try to knit again a couple of days ago- (I’d tried in the past- but, my hand was incapable of making the knitting motions and the doctor told me not to anyway-- so, I couldn’t even if I had wanted to… :D)
ANYWAY… it’s not much-- but, here they are 4" squares knitted to be put together asfor a ‘blanket’ to be raffled off to help pay for a child’s wheelchair.
It did hurt to knit… but, at least my hand can do it now. I just knitted 10 minutes… a couple of times a day until I got both of them finished. I just need to not overdo the knitting nor expect to knit every day for awhile.
SO HAPPY with the return of the knitting ability. :woot:
Hi there my friend.
I am so glad to hear that you are on the mend. But really you should be resting that hand. It will heal quicker.
The squares look great though
Rest that hand
Thanks everybody! It was so much fun to get to FINALLY KNIT again after several weeks. I had missed it so much… and I did ‘ice’ my hand after I finished-- because it was hurting. :*(
Thanks for the good wishes. I did get out some yarn to ‘pet’ in the meantime… so, it can wait its turn to get knitted up.
