Halloween

I am new to this forum, but I have already seen that this is a wonderful resource and a wonderful group of people!

Anyhow…my son was a sort of last-minute makeshift yoda (with floppy ears) for Halloween. I got the news that my son and I are moving in less than a month so I hadn’t really planned on doing anything for Halloween. However…the temptation was too much.

I made the ears up as I went, but the sweater (http://dogsstealyarn.com/yoda.htm) was one I modified to fit my 19 month old, and it was the first time I had modified a pattern to fit a larger size. It worked out really well, I think.

The hat is a recycled cotton sweater, the sweater is knitted from Sugar and Cream cotton in Ecru.

Next on the list? An earflap cap of my own design for the little bugger below, and the red elven hat from the Holiday 2006 issue of Knit Simple. It’s ribbed and tall with 3 pompoms on it, knit with Baby Ull. Perfect hat for my little guy to run around wearing on Christmas Day.

OMG! That is just too cute!!! :cheering:

  I agree–that is just too cute!!

If that isn’t just the cutest thing ever… Love it!!

Ahhh, cute he is. Yes.

:roflhard:

Thank you, guys. I happen to think he’s pretty cute too, but I know I’m partial.

OMGoodness, both Knitting Yoda and I love it :cheering: :cheering:

OMG! That’s adorable! Too bad there’s no pattern…!!! I must knit one for my future child! hehe
