Half hitch cast on

I am new at knitting and cannot find how to do a half hitch cast on—can anyone help me PLEASE :?? :?? -I would greatly appreciate it. :cheering:

I did a bit of research, and it looks like the half hitch cast on is the same as the backward loop.
