Now I have a sock question! I’m knitting socks, toe-up and I need to create the gusset. I need help with the math. The original pattern called for total of 66 sts on 2 needles. I have 60 sts (or 30 on each needle). The pattern says that I should have 55 sts on the heel needle when all the increases are completed, but that’s using 33 sts to start with, and I have 30 sts on my needle. Also, how do I figure out how to turn the heel sts, when those instructions start with K37? Is there a formula that I can use over and over again? I can’t tell you how much I always appreciate your help. It’s very frustrating for me not to be able to pop into a local yarn shop or visit my best knitting friend. I live in small town in the mountains of Colorado and the closest shop is 4 hours away! I must say that I have become a much better and more experienced knitter over the past 9 months (of living here) because of Knittinghelp!
