Guage AGAIN

gauge: 13.5 sts. per 4"

Ok, the pattern calls for this guage…I like the pattern…but what I HAVE is 7 stitches per inch…so…

I take 7X4=28

and then I’m stuck…

I don’t do 28 stitches per stitch do I?? THAT doesn’t make sense…

it’s for a baby hat, the gnome hat on knitting pattern central…if that helps? would it be a nightmare to try and fix it? I’m not “married” to it…just like the cutie little knot at the top…

13.5 sts is a common tension in bulky weights. I’d try doubling your yarn and see what you come up with.

If you do the hat with your current gauge, it will be half the size. Try doubling your yarn, as Nicole said.
