Green Gable turned PINK FO PAGE 2 POST #15

I decided it was time for me to knit something for ME! So I decided on the Green Gablepattern & splurged on some Corntastic yarn, yup, 100% corn, 105 yards a skein and super soft. I’m making a size 36" and loving the yarn! Here’s a couple green gable pics
I CO June 31 and that was it, no pic for that…
this is after 105 yards used & one day of knitting

& this is after 210 yards used, well almost, day two of knitting

the pic above is where it was last night when I went to bed.
I hope to work on it lots this weekend, and hopefully have it done to wear on our ‘date’ night on the 12th. I have 3 kids so that might be a challenge, so far so good though, I think.

Happy :knitting: & thanks for peeking.

Great start with lovely yarn. Have never actually seen the pattern till now, that is a cute top.

That’s beautiful! I want to make that one, too.

How do you like the yarn? Is it splitty or pilling?

That’s going to be beautiful. Love the color!

Oh that is looking so cute. I love the color too.

I love the feel of the yarn & I love knitting iwth it. Not sure if it pills yet as it’s only that much done but the LYS had a baby blanket sample that was machine knit and it was super nice. Splitty, well a tiny bit, but the only thing I’ve ever had to knit with before (to use as a splitty yarn) was the micro-spun from lion brand and that stuff is HORIBLE! I was going to make my mom a feather/fan scarf with that and yup, it’s sittin in the bottom of my stash chest, only about 6" done…Anyway compared to that it isn’t splitty at all, but compared to sock yarn or something like patons sws etc it does split, but just a tiny bit, and very rare. I’m using size 6 options. Is that clear as mud?

It looks real nice, I love the color.

That is looking really pretty-and what a nice pattern you’ve chosen! I really like it!

Looking great Julie. Love the colour.

it’s looking pretty! Can’t wait to see it finished! Where did you find the yarn?

That’s very pretty, I’d love to knit one for myself as well!

Beautiful job Julie!! I love that pattern and your colour choice is great.

That’s going to look so pretty, I love the color you chose.

It is going to be so pretty! The color is lovely. I can’t wait to see it finished.

I bought the yarn at Village Wools, the LYS in Albuquerque, NM.

done, it only took 1 week from Co to BO!!! I’m pleased with it.
Now onto the Central Park Hoodie - for me

thanks for all the compliments…the yarn was wonderful, if youre on ravelry check it out there.

Wow! It turned out great and looks wonderful on you!

WOW! That is amazing!

the micro-spun from lion brand and that stuff is HORIBLE!

I’ve used that, and I love the way it feels but it is sooo splitty.

WOW - how gorgeous. I have added that link to my favorites and will add it to my list of projects…

Now that’s a pretty top! Looks great on you, too and love the color!!! You did a super nice job on it!

Awesome! So pretty, and it looks like a great fit. Did you have to make any adjustments to the pattern? The reason I ask is because I read on a blog that the pattern runs small (because the sweater is supposed to be a close fit) and the arm holes are tight, so that knitter suggested going up one size. Did you find that to be a problem?
