Really nice showing of the lunar eclipse this morning…
Great photos! Thank you!
I took a look at 11:45 p.m. Pacific Time, as the Moon was reduced to somewhere between one-fourth and one-third of her usual disk. There were fleeting high clouds in our area, though, so it was a black-and-white display we saw; no red.
DH stayed up until 12:30 or so to see full totality. I didn’t make it (chronic pain and all messes up many of my plans). He told me this morning that the only way he knew there was a total lunar eclipse from his observations was that there was a faintly luminescent area behind the clouds. sigh
Maybe we’ll have better luck in October!
We had a lot of clouds so I didn’t get to see this. Which is fine because I saw one before as a child. Its not as if I’ve never seen one before.
Beautiful photos! Sadly, we had clouds and rain. I’m looking forward to October, too.
Thanks gals!! It got really intense by 1.30amish! I was inside by then and had put the camera and tripod away. I’m recouping today!!
:cheering:
Very nice photos! Thank you for posting them.
The fog rolled in right when the eclipse was to begin. We knew we would be socked in for the night
