i just looked at that link-it’s awesome!!! I went to Christmas and looked up hats and they have one that looks like a pine tree! THAT’S awsome! Christmas is only 5.5 months away! GET KNITTING

My mother knits the most adorable “Snowman Family,” and they make such a GREAT gift! When my oldest daughter (25 now) was in college a few years ago, she called Nana on the phone to ask her if she would make her her own snowman family. Since she was at Florida State, my mom did the set in the school colors. So cute!

I just ran to my pattern stash and there it was! I’m going to put it into a PDF so everyone can enjoy it. It’ll make a great KAL, so maybe I’ll post it there.

There are three in the family, mom dad and baby. They’re made with a ribbed “tube” and have a small hat and scarf.

Can’t wait for you to see them!

I can’t wait to see it, sounds so adorable!!!

My daughter is making handbags for her grandmothers. They are felted so they hide a lot “design modifications” (flaws). I am doing some clogs and shawls and some bags. I have made some easy slippers too.

Oh - PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE post the snowmen family pattern! That would be a really great KAL!

I know, I am still waiting, like I have nothing better to do…LOL

I’ve been waiting for my DD to send me a picture to go with the pattern but, since she’s a bit tardy, I’ll go ahead and post the pattern anyway. Hopefully, you can get the gist of it. I’ll include the photo as soon as Beth sends it out! Give me a second to put it on my website! Be right back…

OK friends, the pattern is here. My DD is going to send the photo soon and, as soon as she does, I will post it here and the website.

Please include finished pictures to include on the website.

Anyone want to start a thread in the KAL section? I’ll join you there. I mean, gosh, I’ve already got a bazillion WIP’s. I might as well add one more…

Have fun, and thanks for your interest. My mom is so excited that you all want to make these. These have become such a tradition in our family. Now they’ll become one in yours! :muah:

Thank you so much.
DD is already making a list of who all we need to make them for this year. What kind of yarn have you used for these? Besides worsted I mean like acrylic or something.

In case someone wants to start a KAL

Maybe it needs to be smaller…

Thanks!!! I can’t wait to start on it.

My mom has always been a Red Heart person. She’s always used that. I can imagine a Mrs. Snow, however, with a fluffy hat and scarf, not the traditional red and green, can’t you?

I’ll have to try out some different yarns that I have. I’ve got all kinds of little balls of fluffy stuff in my stash, perfect for the scarf.

Now if only Beth would send me that picture.:tap:
