I may not finish this this month, but I intend to it and get my yarn and supplies under control! If yours is already pretty good maybe some of these ideas will help it stay that way. ![]()

I did the yarn thing back in July, but I really need to find a workable storage solution for needles & hooks. Every storage thingy I’ve tried has been an epic fail: they all work in theory, but in practice, oy!
I really need a good plan to get organised with all my stuff, not just the knitting supplies. I have the smallest spare bedroom as “my” room but it’s also a bit of a catch all at times too.
There’s some photos in this blog post, before and after a big tidy up last year!
I keep most of my yarn in a four drawer plastic drawer unit (it’s visible in one of the tidy pics), but it’s starting to overspill. The blue/cream tote is now full of sock yarn, there’s a big bag of it on the sofa, and all that yarn we wound over Christmas is still in the family room as I don’t know where to put it!! :knitting:
I either need to knit quicker or go cold sheep and not buy any more this year!!
I use these cases for my interchangeable needles (don’t use straights) and they would be perfect for crochet hooks. I think I may order one myself just for hooks!
I have purchased from both and they seem to be about the same. I like the one with the snap vs the buckle.

I bought a scrapbook photo holder for my circs. I got it at Michaels. The case holds 16 or 18 (I can’t remember which) 4x6 smaller plastic cases that are for photos. I can get 2-3 smaller needle sets in each of the 4x6 boxes. And one of the larger size needles.
For the straight needles I also got a scrapbook type case that had dividers width wise. The only ones that don’t fit are my really long old metal ones. I also use them for my DPN’s and crochet hooks. I have 2 of those one for straight needles and one for DPNs and crochet hooks. So far they work great.
I do too Brenda, looking at your before and afters gave me some ideas of how I might reapportion some of my space in my office and even how to maybe deal with my needle storage dilemma. ![]()
Go cold sheep? Perish the thought!
I don’t like the folders. They are just too big and bulky. The ones I linked too fold small and fit in my knitting bag. But that’s just me. :teehee:
