Hello – I am new to knitting and new to kh! I’m excited to learn and anxious to complete a project. Q - is YO and YF one and the same? I searched the site and couldn’t seem to find an answer. Thanks!
They can be the same. If yf is between knit sts then it’s a YO. If there’s a slip st after it that isn’t a decrease, then just move the yarn to the front, slip the stitch, then move it to the back if you’re knitting the stitch after that.

I always YF when I YO. It just makes more sense to me.
