I’m working on the back of the jumper. And got to shaping the raglan arms. Can anyone help me understand what this part of the pattern means please.
“Working all raglan arm decreases as set by last row, dec 2sts at each end of 6th [6th] and 1 [10] foll 6th [6th] rows, then on 11 [5:-] foll 8th [8th] rows. 43[43] sts”
I understand the decreasing 2 stitches at each end of the 6th but I don’t follow the rest.
Welcome to KH!
I recently finished a version of this sweater but converted to brioche rather than fisherman’s rib looks the same just worked differently). I really like the feel and weight of it.
Which size are you making?
For the first size for example, decrease 2sts at each end of row 6 and then on row 12. Then decrease on rows 20,28,36,44,52,60,68,76,84,92 and 100.
OK, so you would decrease 2sts at each end on row 6 then rows 12,18,24,30,36,42,48,54,60 and 66. Then dec on rows 74,82,90,98 and 106. It may help to write out the decrease rows and then cross them off as you work them. At any rate, you’re working until you get to 43sts.
Have fun with this sweater!
