Gauge for a scrap afghan

Hi Everyone -

I’d like your thoughts as to whether I need to figure gauge for an afghan that is made from squares done in seed stitch, garter and irish moss (see link below).

Can I just knit squares that are identical in size? Does the gauge really matter in a project like this?

Sure as long as your squares are the same size, you can knit it with a different gauge.
