Garter stitch weaving

Can anyone help with garter stitch weaving? I am OK with Kitchener Stitch, but I have only been shown the other kind once, many years ago.

Weaving? Like weaving in the ends you mean?

Is this what you mean? This is like the kitchener stitch, but for garter stitch. It uses a crochet hook instead of a needle. It’s mainly used for things like grafting the toes on a garter stitch baby bootie. This is called Russian Grafting.

Here are two more tutorials, on the first, there’s a note at the bottom for garter stitch grafting. Ther second is a video. These methods don’t give the nice little braid that you get with the Russian join however, but more of a continuous garter st graft.
