Garter Stitch Ugh

I am at the bottom of my sweater, working on curcilar needle.
My problem is all my stitches are on my right needle and the pattern tells me to do garter stitch until I have three ridges.
How can I knit with the front of the knitting facing me, if my working yarn end and stitches are all on the right needle,
What do I need to do? Slide the stitches to the other end of the needle? Or knit on the back side?

Marilynn :??

Turn the needle around so the end with the yarn going back to the ball is in your left hand. Take the other end in your right hand and start knitting. It’s no different from knitting with straight needles, unless you’re supposed to be knitting in the round. Did your pattern say `join’ after the cast on?

Sue,
No it does not say to join.

So I need to knit on the purl side (inside of sweater) then the next row is knit on the front side of sweater.

Garter stitch is just knitting back and forth across, correct?

Marilynn

Yes, in flat knitting, garter stitch is knit every row.

Thank you Sue, I can see light at the end of the tunnel.
