I am just starting a man’s sweater and after 2" of ribbing they are telling me to do two rows of garter stitch. That is kind of strange isn’t it? The rest is in stockinette. Because I am in the round does that mean I would do two rows of purling? :??
if you are doing garter stitch in the round you would have to do the opposite of flat…knit one round purl one round.
if you have a picture of the finished sweater, i would guess you can see somewhere on there that they have the rows of garter…maybe it is just a design detail?
Purl a row, knit a row, not 2 purl rows.
